An evocative scene captured in the grand, silent hall of an old manor in the Tokai region, near Cape Town. As the day leans into the evening, the sharp, angular shadows of the afternoon sun cut through the space, illuminating a lonely wingback chair and a small side table. The composition is pierced by a deliberate red light leak—a "blood-orange" streak born from an intentionally exposed negative—that slashes across the frame like a stray sunbeam. It is a study of stillness, architectural ghostliness, and the heavy, golden weight of time passing in an empty room.
